Audacity Highlights Connected Hi-Fi at Melbourne Hi-Fi Show

Audacity Australia is showcasing connected Hi-Fi at the Melbourne Hi-Fi Show, featuring the WiiM streaming ecosystem, Jamo loudspeakers, and Ikarao karaoke systems. Instead of large stacks of gear, the display focuses on integration, scalability, and user-friendly audio.

Multi-Zone Demonstrations with WiiM Technology

The Audacity room features multiple audio zones—stereo, desktop, and multichannel—powered by WiiM’s streaming platform. Visitors can see how WiiM products work together for whole-home audio, from desktop listening to Dolby 5.1 surround sound without an AVR.

Audacity Partner Manager Andrew McGregor said:

“The latest WiiM gear lifts what’s possible for connected systems. The Amp Ultra, paired with Jamo floorstanders, makes high-quality audio more accessible.”

Jamo Loudspeakers Join the Audacity Portfolio

Audacity is now the official Australian distributor for Jamo. The WiiM Amp Ultra powers Jamo’s C605 MK II floorstanders, while other demos use the Jamo D590 and C707 PA active bookshelf speakers.

Some setups include a Lenco L-455BK turntable connected to the C707 PA’s phono stage. HDMI ARC handles TV audio, creating a clean, modern setup. Jamo’s Cube subwoofer adds deep bass with a minimalist design.

Expanding into Entertainment with Ikarao

Audacity is also launching Ikarao in Australia. The Ikarao Break X1 is an 800W portable karaoke system with a 13.3” touchscreen, dual wireless mics, and a 6.5” woofer producing 107dB SPL. It combines party features with serious sound.

Lifestyle Integration with the WiiM Home TV App

The WiiM Home TV app, now available for Android TV, is on display. It integrates audio control directly into the TV interface, removing the need for a separate device.

A Connected Future for Hi-Fi

For Audacity, the show is about more than showcasing products. It’s a statement on affordable, connected AV solutions for dealers, integrators, and everyday listeners. Combining WiiM’s smart platform, Jamo’s design, and Ikarao’s entertainment focus invites new audiences into the Hi-Fi space.
