Jamo has released the C707PA MKII active bookshelf speaker in Australia, with Audacity Australia confirmed as the brand’s exclusive distributor. This model is the first in Jamo’s new C700 active series and marks the start of a broader rollout expected in the coming months.

The speaker is designed for modern living spaces, home offices, and entertainment setups. By blending a compact footprint with detailed acoustic engineering, the C707PA MKII targets listeners who value both design and sound performance.

Design and Performance

The C707PA MKII carries Jamo’s minimalist Scandinavian aesthetic, with smooth edges and a form that fits easily into diverse interiors. Jamo equips the unit with a 65W x 2 D-Class amplifier and a two-way bass-reflex system, delivering tight bass and clean treble for everyday music, gaming, and media use.

Inside, Jamo integrates several of its core technologies. The Hybrid Composition Conical Cone (HCCC) and Long Displacement Surround (LDS) ensure controlled damping and improved linearity. As a result, distortion is reduced and transient response is more accurate. In addition, an Anti-Diffraction WaveGuide (ADW) and Tweeter Distortion Reduction (TDR) help deliver natural treble and expand the listening sweet spot.

Jamo also includes its signature aluminium phase plug, which enhances clarity at higher frequencies and improves power handling.

Connectivity Options

Flexibility is a major part of the design. Jamo offers the C707PA MKII with a wide range of inputs, including:

  • Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX and aptX HD for wireless streaming
  • HDMI ARC for TV integration
  • USB Type-C for digital sources
  • 3.5mm jack and RCA, switchable for line or phono use with turntables
  • Optical input for digital audio

With this set of options, the speaker can handle both digital and analogue sources. For example, users can stream from Spotify, connect a turntable, or run TV audio through HDMI ARC.

Tailored Sound Controls

Unlike many bookshelf speakers in its class, the C707PA MKII includes a three-band EQ (low, mid, and high). This allows users to adjust the sound to fit their room or personal preference. As a result, the speaker can adapt to small offices, open-plan living spaces, or gaming environments.

Market Rollout

Audacity Australia is leading the distribution of the new Jamo range across the country. Alongside the C707PA MKII, the rollout will include Jamo’s CI (custom installation) line with in-wall and in-ceiling speakers for both home and commercial settings.

The C707PA MKII is available in five finishes: black, white, yellow, khaki green, and blue. These colour options reflect current interior design trends and give buyers flexibility in matching their décor.

The Bigger Picture

Founded in Denmark in 1968, Jamo has long been recognised for balancing design and high-fidelity sound. The launch of the C707PA MKII continues that tradition, while also pushing into new categories such as active and versatile speakers.

By appointing Audacity Australia as distributor, Jamo signals a strong commitment to the local market. More models in the C700 series will be revealed soon, expanding the offering for both hi-fi enthusiasts and everyday listeners.
