WiiM has built its reputation on delivering well-priced music streamers and a flexible multi-room ecosystem that goes toe-to-toe with brands like Sonos. Now, the audio brand is stepping into new sonic territory with the launch of two fresh products: the WiiM Sound portable speaker and, most notably, the WiiM Sub Pro.

This release marks a meaningful expansion of the WiiM ecosystem, pushing beyond streamers into both portable audio and dedicated low-frequency performance. First revealed at the High End Munich show in May 2025, the WiiM Sub Pro has officially begun shipping, bringing powerful bass and intelligent room tuning to a wide range of audio setups.

Designed to complement WiiM’s home audio lineup, the Sub Pro delivers 250 watts of power via a Class-D amplifier driving an 8-inch woofer. Its frequency response spans from 25Hz to 200Hz, making it equally at home adding depth to music, impact to movies, and weight to gaming soundtracks. The cabinet sports a sleek, modern design with a glossy finish that blends neatly into contemporary living spaces.

Smart Bass, Any Room

One of the Sub Pro’s standout features is automatic room correction. Using built-in calibration, the subwoofer adjusts volume and crossover settings to suit the acoustics of your room, helping ensure tight, controlled bass rather than boomy excess.

Connectivity is equally flexible. Alongside a traditional RCA input for compatibility with almost any hi-fi or home theater system, the Sub Pro also supports wireless audio over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, all managed through the WiiM Home App. Wireless performance is bolstered by support for Wi-Fi 6E across 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz bands, as well as Bluetooth 5.3 for stable, low-latency connections.

Built for the WiiM Ecosystem

The Sub Pro includes smart power management, automatically dropping into standby when idle and waking when it detects an incoming signal through its RCA input. This keeps energy use low while making daily operation effortless.

As part of the wider WiiM ecosystem, the Sub Pro can pair with other WiiM devices for casting via Google Chromecast, Alexa Cast, DLNA, Spotify Connect, and TIDAL Connect. It can be matched with the WiiM Ultra for advanced streaming duties or grouped with multiple WiiM Mini units for whole-home, multi-room audio.

Everything is controlled through the WiiM Home App, where users can manage playback, group rooms, fine-tune settings, and access popular music services like Spotify, Amazon Music, and TIDAL. With the Sub Pro, WiiM isn’t just filling in the low end; it’s rounding out its ecosystem with authority and finesse.
